Marseille Light Sculptures
Experience the vibrant light of Marseille, where sun-drenched stucco meets the deep blue of the Mediterranean sky. This image captures a moment of pure architectural beauty.
The Story
Standing on a street in Marseille's 1st arrondissement, I looked up and was immediately struck by how the low December sun was illuminating this building. The warm tones of the facade, contrasted with the vivid blue sky and the cool tones of the blue shutters, created such a striking visual. I love how the strong shadows defined the architectural details, almost making the building appear sculpted by light itself.
The composition, focusing on the corner and the interplay of light and shadow, felt very deliberate. The classic corbel detail added a touch of historical elegance. It was a crisp, clear day, perfect for capturing the intensity of the light and the sharp edges of the shadows. A truly memorable moment in Marseille.
