Privacy Policy

Meridian is a solo studio run by Elijah, not a data business. We collect only what we need to take your order, ship your print, help you when you get in touch, and understand whether our advertising works. We never sell your personal information.

We do share a limited amount of information with Pinterest, to measure whether our ads lead to a sale. That is described below, and you can turn it off at any time using Your Privacy Choices in the footer of any page.

• Orders. Your email, name, shipping address, sometimes a phone number for delivery, and your order history, so we can make and ship your print and let you look up your orders later.
• Payment.Card payments are processed by Stripe. We keep only your card’s brand and last four digits, never the full card number.
• Messages you send us. When you email support, we keep the conversation so we can help you and follow up.
• Chats with the studio assistant. The chat window on the site is answered by an AI model. What you type is sent to our AI provider so it can write a reply. The conversation itself is kept in your browser rather than on our servers, so clearing it there clears it for good. To stop abuse of the chat we briefly note your network address, for a few minutes at a time.
• Newsletter. If you subscribe to The Dispatch, we keep just your email address. You can unsubscribe any time.
• Anonymous usage. We keep simple, anonymous statistics about how the site is used, stored on our own servers, with no name and no IP address, and no cross-site tracking. A random id saved in your browser just helps us tell one visit from another. You can switch this off in Your Privacy Choices.
• Advertising measurement. When you reach us by clicking one of our Pinterest ads, that link carries a click identifier. With your agreement we keep it in your browser for up to 30 days, and we tell Pinterest which pages you viewed and what you added to your cart, along with your network address and a description of your browser. If you then buy something, we also send Pinterest a scrambled (hashed) form of your email address, so it can recognise that the sale came from the ad you clicked, even when you clicked on your phone and bought on your laptop. Your email address never leaves us in a readable form. If you have not clicked one of our ads, we send Pinterest nothing at all while you browse.
• Your cart. Items in your cart live in your browser, not on our servers.
• Optional account. If you create an account, sign-in is passwordless and we only need your email address.

To run the shop we rely on a few trusted services, and each one only receives what it needs to do its job:

• Stripe, to process payments.
• Our print & shipping partner, which needs your name and address to produce and deliver your print.
• Our sign-in provider, to verify your email.
• Our email provider, to send and receive messages.
• Our AI provider, to draft replies to your support messages and to answer your questions in the studio assistant.
• Pinterest, to measure whether our ads led to a sale. Only what is described above, and only when you have agreed.
• Our hosting provider, which runs the site and stores its data.

We don’t sell your data. Pinterest is the only advertising partner we share anything with, it is only for measurement, and it only happens with your agreement.

To answer support faster, we may use a third-party AI tool to help us draftreplies to your messages. That means the content of a message you send us may be processed by that tool for the sole purpose of drafting a response. It isn’t used to advertise to you or shared for advertising, and a person reviews every reply before it’s sent.

The studio assistant works the same way: your questions go to the AI provider only so it can produce an answer, and never for advertising. Please don’t type anything sensitive into it. If you are signed in, it can look up your own orders, and nobody else’s.

We use sign-in cookies to keep you logged in, and your browser stores your cart, your chat history, and the anonymous usage id described above. One small cookie remembers your answer to the advertising question, which is why it is set whichever way you answer.

If you agree to advertising measurement, we also store a Pinterest click identifier in your browser for up to 30 days. It is only ever set when you arrive from one of our ads, and it is deleted if you later decline. We use advertising cookies for nothing else, and we run no third-party advertising scripts on this site.

Use Your Privacy Choices in the footer of any page to turn advertising measurement and site analytics on or off. Withdrawing is as easy as agreeing, and it takes effect immediately.

In the EU, the UK, and Switzerland we ask before storing anything for advertising, and nothing reaches Pinterest unless you say yes. Everywhere else, advertising measurement is on unless you turn it off. We honour the Global Privacy Control signal: if your browser sends one, we treat it as turning advertising measurement off, and we don’t ask again.

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email. To access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, just email us and we’ll take care of it.

Your information is stored with reputable providers who help keep it safe. We keep order records for as long as we need them to fulfil your order and meet legal and accounting obligations, and we’ll remove information that’s no longer needed on request.

This site is intended for adults and isn’t directed at children.
