The Story
This shot was taken on a perfect afternoon in Portofino, Italy. The light was incredible, really bringing out the saturation in the colours of the buildings and the flowers. I was drawn to the contrast between the warm yellow of the main building and the deeper red of its neighbour, both adorned with those gorgeous green shutters.
What really made it for me were the balconies, overflowing with bright red geraniums and lush potted plants. It felt like stepping into a postcard. The clear blue sky provided a stunning backdrop, making the whole scene pop. It’s moments like these that make you fall in love with Italy.
