Ta' Pinu Basilica Grandeur
Standing before the Ta' Pinu Basilica in Għarb, Malta, you can't help but be awestruck by its sheer scale and timeless beauty. This architectural masterpiece offers a moment of quiet contemplation under the vast Mediterranean sky.
The Story
I was exploring the island of Gozo, part of Malta, and made sure to visit the famous Ta' Pinu Basilica. Even from the outside, the sheer size and the warm colour of the stone against that incredible blue sky were breathtaking. I wanted to capture that sense of awe, so I got down low and tilted the camera upwards to really emphasize the height and grandeur of the building.
The sun was bright, creating beautiful highlights and shadows on the intricate stonework, from the arches to the rose window. It was late afternoon, and the light really made the ochre stone glow. It felt like a truly special place, steeped in history and spirituality, and I felt privileged to capture it.
