The Story

Standing in Szent István Tér, I tilted my Nikon Z 7 II upwards, compelled by the sheer scale and ornate beauty of St. Stephen's Basilica. The late afternoon sun illuminated the facade in a warm, golden light, making the intricate Neo-Renaissance details of the sculptures and the 'VERITAS ET VITA' inscription truly pop against the deep blue sky.

The contrast between the solid, ancient stone and the dynamic, cloud-streaked heavens was striking. I wanted to capture that sense of permanence and aspiration, with the tower reaching for the sky. It was a clear, crisp day, and the light cast long shadows, accentuating the architectural depth.
