The Story
I was walking through Valletta on a beautiful spring day, and this building just stopped me in my tracks. The scale of the columns, the rich texture of the stone, and then seeing the Maltese flag flying so proudly overhead – it felt like a perfect encapsulation of the island's spirit.
The way the light hit the sandstone, casting soft shadows, made the whole facade glow. I framed the shot looking up, trying to emphasize the height and the dramatic sky. The touch of green from the tree in the foreground really balanced the composition, preventing it from being too stern. It's a place that feels both grand and welcoming.
