The Story

I was walking through the Hôtel de Ville neighbourhood in Marseille, France, on a crisp winter afternoon. The sun was starting to dip, casting long, dramatic shadows and bathing the classical architecture in this incredible golden light.

The way the light hit the building, accentuating the details of the balconies and the ornate stonework, was just breathtaking. I framed it with this bare tree in the foreground to add a sense of depth and a touch of moody contrast to the bright, clear blue sky. It felt like a perfect blend of old-world charm and striking urban geometry.
