Palermo's Stone Sentinel

The Story

I found myself on a rooftop in Palermo, Italy, with an incredible perspective on the Cathedral. The sheer scale and detail of the bell tower were breathtaking, even with the clouds gathering overhead.

I love how the history of this place feels so palpable. The stone has seen so much, and looking out over the city towards those distant mountains, you can really feel the layers of time and culture. The vibrant green of the trees below provided a beautiful natural contrast to the ancient stonework.

It was a moment where the past and present of Palermo converged before my eyes, under a sky that was as dramatic as the architecture itself. A truly unforgettable scene.
