The Story
I was drawn to the dramatic light in Plaça Reial that late December afternoon. The sky was heavy with clouds, but the way the light caught the wet cobblestones and reflected off the ochre buildings created such a captivating scene. It felt like the city was breathing, a quiet moment of introspection despite the crowds milling about.
Despite the somewhat somber weather, there’s a real warmth emanating from the historic architecture and the gentle glow of the string lights. It’s a reminder that Barcelona’s charm isn’t just in its sunshine, but also in its ability to be beautiful and evocative under any sky. Standing there, I felt completely immersed in the timeless rhythm of this iconic Spanish square.
