The Story

I found myself drawn to the stark elegance of this building in Budapest. The black and white treatment really amplified the textures of the brick and the skeletal nature of the trees framing the shot. It felt like looking at a piece of history, weathered but unbowed.

There was a quiet stillness to the scene, perhaps due to the overcast weather and the fact it was Christmas Day. It gave the whole area a sense of introspection, and I wanted to capture that feeling of time standing still, even within a bustling city like Budapest, Hungary.
