The Story

Standing in Piazza Giuseppe Verdi, I was immediately struck by the juxtaposition of old and new architecture, all bathed in that glorious Sicilian sunlight. The buildings here in Palermo have such character, with their warm colours and those beautiful, almost theatrical balconies.

I loved the way the light played on the textures, casting deep shadows and highlighting the intricate details of the wrought iron and the decorative mouldings. Even with the modern elements creeping in at the top, there's an undeniable sense of history that permeates the air. It felt like I was capturing a moment that has played out on this very spot for generations.
