The Story
Walking through the Eixample district of Barcelona, I was struck by the uniformity yet individuality of these apartment buildings. The late afternoon sun, diffused by a generous scattering of clouds, gave the ochre facades a warm, inviting glow.
I aimed my camera upwards, drawn to the repeating patterns of the balconies and windows. It's in these everyday urban scenes, with the ubiquitous antennas reaching for the sky, that you really feel the pulse of a city. The bright blue sky, contrasted with the dramatic clouds, added a dynamic element, making it feel like a moment suspended in time.
