The Story

I was wandering through Budapest, on a crisp winter morning, when this magnificent statue caught my eye. The sky was a uniform, soft grey, which was perfect for highlighting the intricate details and textures of the stone without any harsh shadows. I chose to shoot from a low angle, looking up, to give the figure a sense of grandeur and presence against the vast expanse of the sky.

The sheer presence of this man, frozen in time, was captivating. His stern gaze and the detailed costume spoke of a different era, a different Hungary. It felt like a moment of quiet connection with the past, a silent dialogue across centuries, right there in the heart of Budapest.
