The Story

I captured this image on a brilliantly clear winter morning in Vienna. The air was crisp, and the low sun cast a beautiful, sharp light across the square, really making the bronze of Prince Eugene's statue pop against the deep blue sky.

The architecture here is just breathtaking – the scale and detail of the buildings surrounding the monument are a testament to Vienna's rich past. I love how the bare branches of the trees create a delicate, graphic pattern in the mid-ground, adding a touch of natural softness to the otherwise imposing scene.
