The Story

Standing near the base of these magnificent structures in Athens, I was struck by the sheer scale and enduring presence of the ancient stonework. The morning sun, crisp and bright despite it being late December, illuminated the textured surfaces, making each crack and crevice tell a story.

I framed this shot to emphasize the contrast between the immediate, tactile detail of the foreground stone and the receding line of arches. It felt like capturing a moment where history breathes, right there on Dionysiou Areopagitou street, with the sky a perfect, unblemished blue above.
