The Story

I found this remarkable leaf clinging precariously to a branch in Stevens Canyon, not far from my home in Cupertino, California. The late afternoon light filtered through the canopy, casting a soft glow that made the leaf’s intricate network of veins stand out with an almost ethereal quality.
