Avenue of Shadows

The Story

I was exploring the streets of Göteborg, Sweden, on a beautiful late summer afternoon, and this avenue just called to me. The symmetry of the trees, the elegant buildings, and the way the light was falling – it was incredibly evocative.

I love how the monochromatic treatment really emphasizes the textures and the dramatic shadows. There's a sense of quiet contemplation here, a moment of pause in the bustling city. The single bicycle leaning against the tree adds a touch of human presence without detracting from the overall feeling of serene solitude. It felt like stepping back in time, or into a classic film.
