I was captivated by the striking silhouette of Villa Sassofono against the brilliant blue sky during my visit to Portofino. Its warm colors and dramatic perch on the cliffs truly embody the Italian Riviera's charm.
The Story
Standing on a boat in the Ligurian Sea, I framed this shot of Villa Sassofono. The late afternoon sun cast a warm glow on the villa's facade, making its ochre and terracotta colors pop against the deep green of the surrounding vegetation and the endless blue sky.
The villa's unique architecture, perched so precariously on the rugged cliffs, is breathtaking.
