The Story
I captured this image on a crisp winter morning in Budapest, Hungary, outside the Parliament Building. The air was still, and the light was soft and diffused, perfect for highlighting the solemnity of the occasion.
The guards, dressed in their impressive historical uniforms, moved with deliberate precision as they unfurled the Hungarian flag. It was a powerful visual, the bright colours of the flag a stark contrast against the grand, grey stone of the building and the muted tones of the overcast sky. It felt like stepping back in time, a very moving experience.
