The Story
I was exploring near Sunol, California, on a bright March day when I stumbled upon this scene. The light was absolutely perfect, hitting the rolling hills and making the fresh spring grass practically glow.
This old oak tree, perched so confidently on the slope, was the clear focal point. Its silhouette against the deep blue sky, with its shadow cast so dramatically, felt like a classic California landscape. It's moments like these, where nature's simplicity is so powerfully presented, that make me love shooting here in Alameda County.
