Emerald California Hills

The Story

I was driving along Hayfield Road in Sunol, California, when these incredible green hills caught my eye. It was a perfect spring day, the kind where the grass just explodes in color after the winter rains. The sky was a flawless blue, and the light was bright, creating these wonderful rolling contours on the hillsides.

I loved the contrast between the dry, almost skeletal branches in the foreground and the vibrant life of the hills behind them. You can see faint trails etched into the slopes, hinting at the life that moves through this landscape – I even spotted a couple of cows grazing in the distance. It felt like a moment of pure, unspoiled natural beauty, a classic California vista.
