The Story

Standing on the coast of Camogli, Italy, I was captivated by the sheer verticality of the landscape. The rugged cliffs, softened by tenacious Mediterranean greenery, rose dramatically against a flawless blue sky. It felt like a world away, a place where nature's raw power meets human artistry in the form of those elegant, almost secretive villas nestled on the crest.

I framed the shot to emphasize the contrast between the stark rock and the vibrant life it supports. The scattering of umbrella pines, iconic to this region, added a distinctive silhouette to the horizon. The midday sun, sharp and clear, illuminated every texture, from the weathered stone to the dense foliage, creating a scene of breathtaking clarity and peacefulness.
