Azure Cliffs of Portofino

The Story

Standing on the cliff edge, the view of Portofino’s coastline was simply unreal. The water was so clear, you could see every submerged rock and the way the light played on the seabed. It felt like looking into another world.

The vibrant greens of the Mediterranean foliage provided a stunning contrast to the golden cliffs and the endless blues of the sea. Even in late December, the sun was strong, casting dramatic shadows and really bringing out the textures of the rock. It’s moments like these that make travel photography so rewarding – capturing the raw, natural beauty of a place.

This particular vantage point offered a unique perspective, looking straight down into the meeting of land and sea. The sheer drop and the clarity of the water create a sense of both awe and tranquility, a perfect encapsulation of the Italian Riviera's charm.
