The Story
Stepping off the boat in Portofino, I was immediately struck by the sheer beauty of the coastline. The iconic lighthouse, perched so majestically on the cliff edge, is even more impressive in person.
The clear, bright December sun illuminated the rugged rocks and the vibrant blue of the Ligurian Sea, creating a truly breathtaking scene. The lush greenery clinging to the cliffs provided a beautiful contrast to the stark white of the lighthouse, its green shutters adding a touch of colour.
It’s moments like these, with the salty air and the endless horizon, that truly make you appreciate the magic of travel and the enduring presence of these coastal sentinels.
