Azure Alpine Majesty

The Story

I remember standing on the edge of this viewpoint, completely captivated by the scene before me. The lake's colour was unreal, a shade of blue I'd only seen in paintings. It was a perfect late summer day in Snoqualmie Pass, United States, with a gentle breeze playing on the water's surface and the sun high in the sky.

The sheer scale of the mountains surrounding the lake was humbling. The jagged peaks seemed to touch the sky, their rocky slopes leading down to the dense evergreen forests. I framed the shot to include a few of the weathered trees in the foreground, their stark silhouettes adding a touch of drama and highlighting the vibrant life surrounding them.
