The Story

Stepping into Portofino's harbour felt like stepping into a postcard. The sun was bright, making the colours of the buildings pop against the impossibly blue sky and sea. It was a beautiful winter day, December 29th, with a gentle breeze and the sound of gulls.

I love how the scene balances the man-made charm of the village with the wild beauty of the surrounding hills and the ancient castle watching over it all. The variety of boats, from small fishing vessels to larger tour boats, adds to the sense of a living, breathing harbour. It’s moments like these that remind me why I fell in love with travel photography.
