The Story

Standing on a vantage point overlooking Palermo, I was struck by the powerful contrast between the dense urban fabric and the immense, dark mountains that frame the city. The sky was a character in itself that day, with heavy clouds that seemed to press down on the landscape, yet intermittent shafts of light illuminated the slopes, giving them a brooding, majestic presence.

I was particularly drawn to the way the city, with its mix of older and more modern buildings, felt cradled by these ancient geological formations.
