The Story

Standing here in Yosemite National Park, it’s impossible not to feel utterly humbled. The sheer scale of El Capitan is almost overwhelming, its granite face a canvas of light and shadow that changes by the minute. To see Half Dome in the distance, still holding onto its winter snow, is a powerful reminder of the dynamic forces that shape this incredible landscape.

I aimed to capture the depth and layering of the valley, leading the eye from the dense, verdant slopes in the foreground towards the distant, hazy peaks. The dynamic sky with its dramatic clouds adds a sense of movement and life to the otherwise stoic rock formations. It was a moment of pure photographic magic in the heart of California.
