Sunol Valley Barn

The Story

Standing here on Mccorkle Trail in Sunol, California, I was immediately struck by the sheer vibrancy of the landscape. The hills had just exploded with green, a fresh coat after the winter rains, and the sun was hitting them perfectly, making the colours almost impossibly saturated.

The barn itself, dark and weathered, provided a beautiful contrast to the bright, new growth all around. It felt like a scene from a bygone era, a timeless slice of rural Americana. I loved how the fence line guided the eye through the frame, leading right to the heart of this peaceful scene.

It was a truly perfect day – clear blue skies, warm sunshine, and that incredible California springtime light. I felt a real sense of calm and quiet contemplation capturing this moment.
