The Story

Standing before the Library of Celsus in Ephesus, I was completely taken by its scale and the intricate beauty of its facade. The bright Turkish sun cast sharp shadows, highlighting the incredible detail in the marble, from the fluted columns to the ornate carvings above.

I aimed my lens upwards, seeking to capture the grandeur of the structure against the impossibly blue sky. The tall, dark cypress trees added a natural contrast to the man-made wonder, hinting at the passage of seasons even on this clear, crisp day. It felt like I had the ancient city almost to myself in that moment.
