The Story
I was wandering through the Wanhua District in Taipei when this incredible juxtaposition caught my eye. The sheer detail on the temple roof was breathtaking, with these ferocious-looking dragons seeming to guard the sacred space.
It was a slightly overcast day, which actually made the colours pop in a different way, and the reflection of the sky on the glass building next to it created this amazing dialogue between the old and the new. It felt like a perfect encapsulation of Taipei – a city that deeply respects its past while constantly pushing into the future.
