Krakow Winter Drive
Experience the quiet beauty of Krakow in winter, where the wet streets reflect the city's historic architecture and the bare trees create a dramatic, atmospheric scene.
The Story
I captured this scene on a damp, grey afternoon in Krakow, Poland. The rain had just stopped, leaving the streets glistening and reflecting the fading light. I was drawn to the contrast between the elegant, old-world buildings on one side and the stark, almost skeletal beauty of the winter trees on the other.
There's a certain moodiness to European cities in winter, and Krakow is no exception. The traffic moved steadily, their lights painting streaks on the wet asphalt, adding a dynamic element to the otherwise still composition. It felt like a moment suspended in time, a quiet observation of urban life unfolding under a muted sky.
