Frankfurt Cathedral's Grandeur

The Story

I stood on the Sachsenhausen side of the Main River, mesmerized by the sheer scale of the Frankfurt Cathedral. The late afternoon light, even in black and white, cast a profound sense of history over the scene. It was fascinating to see the ancient stone juxtaposed with the sharp lines of modern skyscrapers and the ubiquitous cranes, a constant reminder of Frankfurt's forward momentum.

The gentle flow of the river provided a sense of calm amidst the urban energy. I tried to capture that duality – the deep historical roots and the relentless drive for progress that defines this incredible German city. The sky had a soft, almost painterly quality, which I felt worked perfectly with the monochrome treatment.
