The Story

Standing in Yosemite National Park, United States, I was captivated by the sheer presence of Half Dome. The morning light was just beginning to kiss the granite, creating a breathtaking contrast between the sunlit face and the deep shadows. I wanted to convey the immense scale and timelessness of this natural wonder.

I used the foreground pine branches, softened with a shallow depth of field, to frame Half Dome and add layers to the composition. The golden bokeh of the needles felt like a warm embrace, drawing the eye towards the mighty peak. The sky was a deep, clear blue, a perfect canvas for the rugged texture of the rock. It was a moment of pure reverence for this incredible landscape in California.
